"Fun place, but I was a little uneasy"
We did have some fun moments here, and the kids enjoyed parts of it. But... I don’t know, I just didn’t feel totally comfortable with the supervision. The kids seemed spread out at times, and it didn’t always look like the staff were keeping a close eye on everyone. Nothing bad happened, thankfully, but I caught myself feeling nervous more than once. For what we paid, I expected the safety side to feel a bit more organized.

"Room didn’t feel clean at all"
We came here hoping for a fun weekend, but the room just felt gross. There was dust on the shelves, hair in the bathroom, and the carpet had this sticky feeling that made me not want to walk around barefoot. It really didn’t seem like anyone had properly cleaned it before we checked in.

The common areas weren’t much better, especially the restrooms near the activities. What made it more frustrating was that it wasn’t really clear what we were supposed to do next or who to talk to about getting it fixed, so we just dealt with it and felt disappointed the whole time. For the price, I expected a lot better, and I don’t see us coming back

"We had a decent time overall..."
We had a decent time overall, but for what we paid, I expected more. A few things were fun, but some areas felt dated and it got really crowded. At that price point, I was expecting better food, cleaner spaces, and activities that felt a little more organized. The staff was friendly enough, so no complaints there, but I don’t think I’d spend that much to go again. It just didn’t feel like the value matched the cost.

"Slow Replies Made Planning a Bit Frustrating"
I was really excited about booking a stay at Rocking Horse Ranch, but the customer service part made the planning a little annoying.

I sent a couple of emails asking about room details, plus a few things I wanted to know for my kids, and it took days to get a reply. When someone did get back to me, the response was short, and it didn’t really answer everything, so I had to follow up again.

Maybe they were just busy, I get that, but for the price, I expected a little more help before booking. It just made the whole process feel more stressful, than it really needed to be

"Heads up: fall offerings were limited"
Just a warning if you’re planning to go for the seasonal fall stuff, there really wasn’t much open when I went. I was expecting more, so it ended up being kind of disappointing. Maybe check ahead before making the trip.

"Booking was fine, but I kept double-checking"
The booking went through in the end, but the pages were a bit slow and kind of made me wonder if I was doing something wrong. I also wasn’t really sure the discount applied until the confirmation email showed up, so I kept second-guessing it for a bit.

"I felt a bit silly trying to figure out the price"
I was a little embarrassed by how long it took me to understand the actual cost. The pricing didn’t feel very clear, and I kept clicking around thinking I must have missed something obvious. I just wish it had been more upfront from the start, before I got interested

"Outdoor activities were just a bit disappointing"
We mostly went for the outdoor stuff, so it was kind of a letdown. A few things were either closed or had long waits, and the trails and horse riding just felt a little rushed.
The staff were nice enough, and the kids did have some fun, but for the price I just expected more time actually being outside and doing activities. It wasn’t terrible, just not really enough to make us want to come back.

Our room just didn’t feel clean, there was dust around, hair in the bathroom, and a few sticky spots on the floor. We mentioned it to the front desk, nothing really changed after that

"Pretty easy to use overall"
I used the site earlier this week to look around and it was easy to get through most of it. After a few minutes, I found what I needed, but the booking info took a little longer to track down than I expected. Overall it works fine, I just think that part could be made a bit more obvious.

"Not really the vibe we were hoping for"
It felt way more crowded and loud than we expected, so it was hard to enjoy ourselves. On top of that, the next steps weren’t really clear, and we were kind of left wondering what we were supposed to do or where to go next. Just not the experience we were hoping for

I don’t want to overstate it, but the animals just seemed stressed when I was there. I get that places like this can be busy and there’s a lot going on, but it seems like basic common sense to make sure the animals are calm and being handled gently. It made the experience a bit hard to enjoy.

We had a good time with the kids overall, and there were definitely a few parts they really enjoyed. That said, for what it costs, I’d expect the whole place to feel a bit more kept up. Some areas were fun and totally worth doing, but others felt kind of worn out. Common sense says if you’re charging that much, the experience should feel a little more polished. Glad we went once, but I’m not sure we’d hurry back.

"It was an okay place overall..."
It was an okay place overall, but not as family-friendly as I expected. The lines were long, the staff seemed rushed, and my younger kids got bored really fast. I get that places get busy, but if you’re going to market yourself as good for families, you should make it a little easier on parents with small kids. We still made the best of it, but I was a bit disappointed.

We had an okay time overall, but the activities started to feel repetitive after the first day. Horseback riding seemed to be the main attraction, and a few of the other options were either too crowded or weren’t available when we tried to do them. For what we paid, I was hoping for more variety, especially for older kids who need a bit more to stay entertained. It wasn’t a bad trip, just not something I’d rush to spend that much on again.

"Nice grounds, but nothing too fancy"
The grounds are and well kept, so it’s a nice place to walk around and enjoy for a bit. The views were okay, just not anything that really blew me away. If you’re nearby and want a simple, pleasant spot, it’s worth checking out, but I wouldn’t go in expecting something amazing

The food was fine overall, but the dining options got old quickly. It felt like the same kinds of things were being served every day, and if you’re a picky eater, there really wasn’t much to fall back on. For the price, I expected more variety, and it was frustrating feeling like we weren’t getting the full value out of what we paid

"Water park didn’t really live up to the hype"
We mainly booked this place because of the water park, and based on the photos online, I was expecting it to be the highlight of the trip. In person, though, it just didn’t have the same energy. It felt crowded, a little run down in spots, and not quite as exciting as it looked when we were planning everything.

The water was colder than I expected, the lines moved really slowly, and a few areas were already closed when we arrived, which was frustrating. The staff we talked to were friendly, so I don’t want to make it sound like they were rude, but it also felt like no one had clear answers about what was open or when things would be running again.

My kids still managed to enjoy parts of it, because they can have fun almost anywhere with water involved. But from my point of view, for what we paid, I expected a smoother and more updated experience. It wasn’t a terrible day, just not one I’d go out of my way to repeat.
